“Skills Work!® for Youth”
Student and Guardian Evening

Skills Canada – Ontario realizes there will be a continued demand for skilled trades people. Today’s youth and their guardians should be aware of the great career opportunities available in the skilled trades and technologies.

The “Skills Work!® for Youth” Student and Guardian Evening provides grades 7 and 8 students and their parents/guardians with an opportunity to explore the tremendous career opportunities and benefits that exist in the skilled trades. The evening will include; guest speakers who will share their experiences in the skilled trades, a hands-on activity where students will design, build and test their very own project and a presentation showing students and guardians/parents the benefits and opportunities available in the skilled trades and technologies. A highlight of the agenda will be viewing skilled trade careers in action through workshop demonstrations at the host college.

This event will be hosted in Waterloo, Ontario.
