Volunteers

If you are a community member interested in lending a helping hand? Or are you interested in helping
young people discover great career choices in the skilled trades and technologies?

Apply today to become a volunteer at one of the many programs and positions offered throughout the
school year by Skills Canada – Ontario.

We are currently recruiting volunteers for the Ontario Technological Skills Competition (OTSC), Young Women’s Conference and Closing Ceremony.

The Ontario Technological Skills Competition is Skills Canada – Ontario’s cornerstone event, attracting
over 1,500 competitors and 20, 000 visitors from across the province. Over 50 contests in the skilled
trades and technologies are offered at the competition to elementary, secondary and post-secondary
level students, including apprentices. These contests allow participants to showcase their skills, talent
and knowledge while providing them many networking opportunities with partners from industry, labour,
government and education.

The process is simple. Please take a look at all the positions available and fill out the application form
on-line or print off a copy, fill it in by hand and either mail or fax the form to the Skills Canada – Ontario
office. Finally, sit back and relax. A representative from Skills Canada – Ontario will contact you once
the application has been received and reviewed.

If you would like additional information, please contact Tara Woelfle at (519) 749-9899 ext. 232 or email taraw@skillscanada.com

Thanks for lightening the load!

Our programs wouldn’t work without the generous support and time donated by members
of the community. Thank you to all past and future volunteers!
