Regional Summer Camps

Skills Ontario Summer Camp is a week-long day program for kids entering grades 7-9. The program runs in various locations across the province during the months of July and August, from Monday to Friday, 9:00 am - 4:00 pm. Through hands-on activities relevant to the skilled trades, campers develop communication, problem-solving and teamwork skills.

Campers take part in hands-on workshops led by Skills Ontario counselors and industry/college professionals that introduce them to a variety of topics in the industrial, construction, motive power, services and technology sectors; they explore careers in skilled trades through interactive games, industry tours and entrepreneurship programs.

The camps are facilitated in partnership with colleges, industries and community volunteers who are committed to giving the campers an outstanding hands-on experience. Note that schedules vary per location based on available volunteers and programming.

Camps are for students entering grade 7, 8, or 9 unless otherwise noted.

Due to the present COVID-19 pandemic, Skills Ontario is not currently planning to run regional (in-person) events for the 2021 summer camp season. We encourage all interested participants to take advantage of our virtual workshop sessions, and build their own summer camp schedule. Registration opens May 31st, 2021. If you have any questions regarding the Skills Ontario Summer Camp program, email campmanager@skillsontario.com.
