Support Skills Ontario through the Great Canadian Giving Challenge

Jun 1 2017

Every $1 donated to Skills Ontario from June 1 – June 30, 2017 is an automatic entry for Skills Ontario to win $10,000!

Skills Ontario is helping to build Ontario’s skilled trades and technologies workforce.  We enable and empower all youth, including women and First Nations, Métis, and Inuit (FNMI) youth, to consider a career in the skilled trades and technologies. Engagement with students, teachers, parents, volunteers, employers and mentors ensure our programs connect education, experience, and employment. We deliver in-school presentations across Ontario, host Canada’s largest skills competition, run summer camps for skills development and connect students to employers.

We provide programs and resources to youth year-round, and Skills Ontario continues to grow. With further support, Skills Ontario can help Ontario’s youth reach their full potential through experiential learning, mentorship, and competition opportunities.

Summer is such a wonderful time in Canada – great weather and longer days mean more fun outdoor activities, weekends away, BBQs and much more. It’s easy for Canadians to forget to support their favourite charities and causes. To help save charities coast-to-coast from the summer-giving drought, CanadaHelps and The GIV3 Foundation have launched the third annual Great Canadian Giving Challenge.

What is The Great Canadian Giving Challenge?

It is a National public contest to benefit any registered Canadian charity. Every $1 donated to a registered charity in June via CanadaHelps.org or GivingChallenge.ca, automatically enters the charity to win an additional $10,000 donation. The grand prize draw is on Canada Day and one lucky charity will receive the grand prize of $10,000.
