Is there anything students should bring?

Students should wear comfortable shoes and dress for the weather. While the majority of our contests and Showcase booths are now located indoors, there will still be some demonstrations and contests taking place outdoors. Due to limited space inside, there may also be concessions located outside.

Students are free to bring money to purchase food/drink and promotional item.

Please note that concession lines will be long, so if students do not wish to stand in line or have specific dietery restrictions, they are encouraged to pack a lunch of their own.

Is there anything teachers can do to prepare their students?

As exhibitors are confirmed the list of who will be attending the show will be posted here. Encourage students to look through the list of exhibitors to determine which booths they would like to make a point of visiting. Students will have the opportunity to speak to College reps as well as representatives from industry, so they may choose to prepare questions.

It is helpful to go over the floorplan is helpful with students ahead of time to determine check-in points throughout the day. A Scavenger Hunt activity has been prepared for teacher and student use and a Tip Sheet for Skills Ontario Competition Class Trips is also available for teacher use. Please see our Competition Visitors page for updates on those documents.
