Holiday 2015
Happy Holidays from Skills Ontario!
As 2015 comes to an end, and we look to 2016, we reflect on the milestones and successes of the past year: Rick Mercer visited the Cardboard Boat Race Championships in March; our Young Women’s Conference had a record number of over 1,400 girls attend; we added two new contests at the Ontario Technological Skills Competition (OTSC) – CNC Machining and Steamfitting – for a total of 67 contests; we announced the OTSC’s move to Toronto in 2017; and our programs, outreach and school affiliation continue to grow each year, with over 2,204 schools affiliated with Skills Ontario as of December 2015.
As we enter our 27th year of promoting careers in skilled trades and technologies, we want to wish the friends of Skills Ontario, old and new -- the students, teachers, parents, mentors, volunteers, sponsors, and supporters across Ontario – a wonderful holiday season full of comfort and joy!
