Join Skills Ontario in Celebrating

National Skilled Trade and Technology Week!

 

National Skilled Trade and Technology Week is dedicated to helping people learn all about the exciting careers opportunities in the skilled trades and technologies with the goal to demonstrate that these careers are a viable first choice career option.

 

To celebrate Skills Ontario’s program department will be hosting a variety of virtual activities during the week of November 2-8, 2025. Details will be posted as they are confirmed. Follow us on social media @skillsontario to recieve updates!

The Skills Ontario Young Women’s Initiatives 

This department is hosting the following events:

 

Solar Powered Car Kit Build

This department is hosting a Solar Powered Car Kit Build! Kits are provided to classrooms ahead of time for the event.

When: November 4th, 2025

Time: 9:30AM (EST)

Who: This activity is best suited for students in Grades 4-8.

Registration: This event is now full.

 

"A Sit Down with..." Video Series

This video series sits down with women in different skilled trade and technology careers. Available on our YouTube channel. 

When: November 3rd, 2025

Who: This activity is geared towards all ages.

 


 

Skills Ontario Presentations - Elementary

The Presentation Department will be hosting virtual presentations (both in English and French) on Wednesday, November 5th.

When: November 5th, 2025

Time: 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM (EST)

Who: This presentation is geared towards student in Grades 7 & 8 but all are welcome.

The Presentation Department will be hosting a virtual presentation for parents/guardian that want to learn more about the Skilled Trades, Technology Careers, and post-secondary pathways to help guide their child as they start exploring their future career.

This department is hosting the following event:

 

Skilled Trades & Tech: FNMI Challenge Build + Workshop

Join us for a hands-on challenge and workshop led by an Indigenous skilled trades professional.

When: November 5th, 2024

Time: 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM (EST)

Who: This activity is geared towards students that identify as FNMI in Grades 7-12 but all are welcome.
