			Twenty-three teams from schools in Brant, Niagara, Hamilton and Thames Valley competed in the Skills Ontario cardboard boat races Tuesday at the Wayne Gretzky Sports Centre. Students were given two 4x8-foot sheets of cardboard, some duct tape and glue to create their designs. There are eight such elementary races being held this week throughout Ontario.

			Lakehead Public Schools received a collection of new and used tools from Skills Canada and DeWalt Tools worth about $5,000.
